To provide holistic care to the members of our faith family and to our community through education on health and wellness issues, spiritual support and assistance as needed.
Medical people often take care of the "diagnosis", supporting the physical and emotional needs of the person in relation to their particular medical diagnosis. Holistic care means to care for all the person’s needs: physical, emotional and spiritual.

oalsThe goals of this ministry and the role of the parish nurse are;
Be a health educator. We do this through monthly newsletter articles, bulletin boards, the weekly bulletin, and group sessions.
Provide health monitoring and screening. We do blood pressure checks and have had training session on doing a self-breast exam.
Be a health resource and referral agent. If needed, we will find the information you need for any health issue. We will also be an advocate/liaison for you if needed. (We will talk with your health care provider for you if you have trouble understanding anything you’ve discussed)
Be a counselor for health care issues
Serve as a mentor
